Re: HOWTO: NTFS with read/write support using ntfs-3g (easy method)
I have a little problem with this 'how to', i get this error:
[root@lpawlik ~]#mount -a
Couldn't set locale to en_US.utf8.no_def_opts.allow_other thus you may not see properly or at all some files.
fusermount: unable to open fuse lock file
fuse_mount failed.
Unmounting /dev/sda7 (Uzytki)
mount: you must specify the filesystem type
Can anyone help me please !!!
Re: HOWTO: NTFS with read/write support using ntfs-3g (easy method)
BlackWoxs, this problem is in the WHAT YOU COULDN'T section. It'is due to the way it do the backup. But gedit is the only one who have a problem. This should be fix soon according to the dev :

Yes, it's known and planned to be fixed either in the next release or
afterwards. Renaming files currently is denied if the target file already
exists.
For the date problem, i didn't notice it yet, but yeah that's a problem, i'll transmit that. Thanks.
lpawlik, be carefull, the option should be separate by a ",". It should be:
Code:
locale=en_US.utf8,no_def_opts,allow_other
instead of
Code:
locale=en_US.utf8.no_def_opts.allow_other
Re: HOWTO: NTFS with read/write support using ntfs-3g (easy method)

Some further testing - I'd be interested if others see the same thing:
1. Create a text file on the NTFS partition (test.txt)
2. If edited with VIM, the contents are successfully updated and the date modified is updated every time the file is edited
3. Edit the file with Open Office, the date modified is NOT updated, although the file contents are

givré, I had problem autobuilding this package. You should add pkg-config to debian/control.
Thanks for providing the packages :)

Givré, this repositorie is down ? http://givre.cabspace.com/ubuntu/
I can't access to it.
And I update my repositorie with your zip archive you send me in mail.
http://ntfs-3g.sitesweetsite.info/
A little correction on "frensh" -> "french" ;)
For those who have http://ntfs-3g.sitesweetsite.info/ repo, do a apt-get update ;)
