libasound2-plugins is the name of the ALSA plugins, PulseAudio is the name of the program itself. I didn't really understand your question. What do you need to do?
Mint 13 RC is missing the HDMI option; it only has an "Analog Output" option. My computer seems to need the HDMI option to make noise.
I haven't any success getting an answer from the Mint people. I assume they are very busy working on what they consider to be important problems. I don't have a problem with that, but I thought I would ask here.
Mint 13 has the same version of libasound2-plugins as Ubuntu 12.04, so that's not the problem. Is there any other software involved?
No problem after all. The HDMI option was in a different place.
