Need help 2 get data back! plz help

So I've transfered my movie files from my camcorder to my laptop, then I deleted the files from my camcorder. THEN I found uot that I didn't transfer _all_ the files. Now I need some software to recover the data, but i can't sem ot find it.

Any tips please?

in the package testdisk there is a command called photorec (i guess you have to start it with sudo) which is especially designed to recover data from digital cameras. I'm sorry i can't help you further, because i have no experience in working with this tool. But maybe it can help you.

Yupp, photorec did the trick, i just did a


photorec /dev/sdb1

And it guided me through everything, great tool :)
