Chrome is fine if you only browser sites in English. It's got a very annoying bug for me, here's a comparison between Firefox and Chrome.

As you can see, Chrome is pretty useless.

It probably comes down to personal preference ATM but again remember Chromium (not Chrome) might replace Firefox as default web browser in Ubuntu. We are not (at least not yet) talking about Chrome browser.
Because of that it's not that much important if Firefox or Chrome does one thing slightly better or not... Chromium might replace Firefox as default browser and not Chrome...

Personally, I would never run Chrome... but, that's just me.
I use three browsers, on a daily basis (in order of preference):
- Chromium
- Opera-Next
- Firefox
Don't have a need for anything else, especially government spyware... LoL! :D
Re: Chromium Likely to Replace Firefox
I haven't browsed all 12 pages but gnome shell users are going to want Firefox. Firefox is the only way to install gnome shell extensions and there are some useful extensions.
Re: Chromium Likely to Replace Firefox
I can't understand why Ubuntu are thinking of Chromium as default when they won't even update it. The latest stable is 27 and I can't find anything newer than 25.

Hrm...
Are you talking about https://extensions.gnome.org/ ?
I've used Chromium many, many times without issue(s). Never even tried it with Fx...
The screenies above are GS 3.9.2. I installed all of them via Chromium. ;)

Are you feeling lucky?!?!?
https://download-chromium.appspot.com/
It's updated constantly -- sometimes, several times a day.
Come on in. The water's fine! :D
Re: Chromium Likely to Replace Firefox
Thanks but I'd rather stay with stable or beta releases. I was just looking for a Chromium 27 or 28 beta to see if it has the same font problem as google's chrome but as far as I can tell it's not available at all on Ubuntu.

Here are the latest stable, beta, and dev releases:

Not sure which version is what number. I like to run (unstable/untested) trunk builds...
