Auto-Hibernate or Hibernate after period of inactivity - Oneiric 11.10
Hi,
I'd like to set my PC to automatically hibernate after a certain length period of inactivity. How can I do this?
I am able to find the settings in gnome power manager to make it sleep after a certain period of inactivity but no way to make it hibernate instead.

I think that this used to be part of GDM in previous releases, but now since they have switched to lightdm it has changed.....

I also would appreciate the ability to do this. I'm running 10.10, I already tried using gconf-editor to change suspend_ac_mode (or something similar) to hibernate, which allows the "Suspend" function to actually be hibernate, but the timer-based suspend is still S3 :/
The reason I want to be able to do this is suspend doesn't work on my hardware anyway and it's important that this machine has some sort of power saving mode so it's not running 24/7.

Good thinking. Are you talking about the motherboard?
