I have a Dell D620 with the nVidia M110 graphics card. I have been able to run compiz and 3D graphics in the past with no issues. I installed 12.04 beta 2, and found that I have Unity 2D. I found this command and ran it.
chuck@chuck-Latitude-D620:~$ /usr/lib/nux/unity_support_test -pOpenGL vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
OpenGL renderer string: GeForce Go 7300/PCIe/SSE2
OpenGL version string: 2.1.2 NVIDIA 295.33
Not software rendered: yes
Not blacklisted: no
GLX fbconfig: yes
GLX texture from pixmap: yes
GL npot or rect textures: yes
GL vertex program: yes
GL fragment program: yes
GL vertex buffer object: yes
GL framebuffer object: yes
GL version is 1.4+: yes
Unity 3D supported: no
chuck@chuck-Latitude-D620:~$
It basically says that Unity 3D is not supported. Is there a setting that needs to be changed, or a file that needs to be installed ? I would be disappointed if Unity would have to use that much resources.
Can anyone help ?
