eM250 netbook camera not fully working

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am running ubuntu 12.04.2 on a eM250 netbook. I am trying to get my video camera to work with Google video chat.
I have tried using Empathy 3.4.2.3 and video chat in Firefox 20.0 but my contact can not receive my video.

On Empathy, I could only once receive video and sound from my contact, but now it does not seem to work at all.

Incidentally my contact is certainly not running windows, assuming that is relevant.

Interestingly, last year when running ubuntu 10.4.4 video chat did work in Firefox, however I have absolutely NO desire to go back to 10.04.4.
