Can't seem to get my On-board sound to work.
Well, just like the title says, I'm having an issue getting my on-board sound to work. First off, here are my system specs.
Mobo: Asus A8N-SLI Premium
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3700+ (Oc'ed to 2.71)
RAM: 2 gigs Corsair DDR400
GPU: Dual 7800GT's
Sound card: Fatality Extreme Gamer.
At this point I haven't really even tried to get the Fatality card to work, as it seems a bit involved. I've plugged my speakers back into the onboard ports, and turned the onboard sound back on in the BIOS, and I get nothing. I've pulled the Fatality card out and tried it again, with no luck.
I've noticed that if I have all the sound settings in Ubuntu maxed out, and my speakers all the way up, I can just barely hear some sounds. So I know there is something going through the speakers.
Hopefully someone here can provide me with some extra help with this issue, as I am pretty new to Ubuntu still.
Thanks,

I haven't, but I did see it. I'd like to get my on-board working for now. It's probably not, but the guide seems a bit complicated.
I've got things setup really nicely right now, and I don't want to mess with it much. In the past I have made attempts at other guides, and screwed things up (typos more then likely. Overall, just inexperience). Unfortunetly, I'm not good enough with Linux to be able to take steps backwards to fix things when I screw up, and I'm forced to reinstall (which I've done numerous times.)
If all else fails, I'll just run through that guide, but for now I'd like to just use my on-board sound.
