Setting mouse sensitivity and acceleration to emulate a Mac

I use two computers, one has Ubuntu 11.10 and the other is a Mac. I have seen loads of forum posts about the mouse acceleration on the Mac being slightly odd but nothing about my problem:

I like the mouse acceleration on my Mac and want to be able to emulate the acceleration/sensitivity/curve on my Ubuntu machine. I've tried fiddling with these parameters but I'm getting nothing but wrist ache trying to work it out.

Anyone got any ideas?
