From usb wifi works but after installing wifi doesn’t work
Just tried ubuntu running from the usb stick. I had to go in other drivers and select the broadcom 802.11 linux sta and then the wifi worked just fine. Now i installed ubuntu on a drive and did the exact same thing but it wants to download the driver from internet. But obviously I dont have the internet yet if that driver doesn’t load. Connecting a cable to go to the router is extremely difficult; almost impossible for me.
i don’t get this... the driver is obviously in the installation file. How can I access it?
i found instructions on the net to mount the installation file as cdrom and the select the cdrom as a path for installation but it still say that it requires internet.

Except that you installed from a USB, not a CDROM so I doubt that will be useful.

You might save some time and headaches by reinstalling, once booted into the ISO on USB, install the driver and then during the install, be sure to check the box for install third party software and drivers
