[SOLVED] Intel 3945 wireless won't connect to router anymore!
Hello. I have a laptop with a Intel 3945 wireless card. It usually plays fine with my wireless router, although one has to be close (a few meters max.) to connect. After a connection has been established, one can move further away without problems.
But now, for some reason, it won't connect to the router. I can see and choose the router, but I don't get beyond "two grey dots" when trying to connect.
Now, if I boot up Intrepid (I have a small partition for testing), it works without any problems.
So, what is going on here? Anyone else who has experienced this?
To me, Ubuntu seems to get worse for each release (not counting Intrepid)...!
Re: Intel 3945 wireless won't connect to router anymore!
Hehe, I solved it! The problem was that I had used WPA in the router but then changed to WEP. But for some reason, Ubuntu forgot the new settings and tried the old ones....
But the problem with proximity is still there, of course...
