Intel GMA3150 can't do fullscreen OpenGL
I'm using an Acer Aspire One "Happy" with the aforementioned graphics chipset, and fullscreen 3D apps don't appear to function. Hedgewars doesn't seem to go into fullscreen, though it does "work", and Braid reports "Failed to initialize OpenGl display". How can I resolve this?

Hello there,
Kind of a long shot but, just to make sure ... do you really have the drivers for the graphics card? A friend of mine had a similar problem and although it appeared that he had the drivers he had extremely low FPS. So, do you get reasonable FPS in windowed games?
EDIT: Hmm, I didn't see it at first but what you posted (OpenGL version string: 1.4 Mesa 7.11-devel) suggests that you have the newest drivers, actually I think you have the ... "beta" (?) ones?

I upgraded to these in the hope it would help. But it hasn't changed anything. Oh, and I'm running natty 64-bit.

Have you tried switching from Unity to Gnome? There is a small chance it might be a problem of Unity. You can do this by loging out and then, selecting your username and on the very bottom of the screen selecting Ubuntu Classic (where it says Ubuntu, see this).

RETRACT what I said about Hedgewars...
It doesn't enter fullscreen by DEFAULT (any thoughts?) but, once a game is started, pressing F12 puts it into fullscreen.
However, I still can't get Braid to work.
Any advice?

Start braid from the terminal. See if it gives any clues.

It gives this:
Game Startup Error: Unable to set up graphics.
Reason: Failed to initialize OpenGL display.
To help fix this problem make sure you are running the newest version of your video drivers.
Lastly, you could try running this game with the -windowed command-line option.
Running it in a window does work, albeit extremely slowly, even in a low resolution, and with lots of graphical glitches. If this is done from the terminal, this is posted:
