Hi, click on the internet icon in the upper right corner of the screen, then on edit connection, wireless and make sure your setting look like the screenshots I am including and see if that helps.

I have changed my wifi settings to match the screenshots, but it hasn't solved the problem. :(
Hi, I am not sure that there is anything we can do to help but please post the results from these commands so I can see exactly where your system is at.

I have given up and set up a wired connection now, but I'll run those commands and post the output if it will help other people with the same problem.
I have also reinstalled the OS since my last post in the hope that it would resolve the problem but to no avail.
