Re: Canon MF4350d - Printer Scanner setup
So "TONER LOW - PREPARE NEW TONER" came on, I will replace when the tone starts to fade but:
1) Is the error indicator supposed to blink (red) constantly ?
2) It won't print now, print status is "pending", so I had to switch to Windows virtual machine to print - Is this how it is with Linux ?
Re: Canon MF4350d - Printer Scanner setup
Thanks Footer. After installing the official v2.70 drivers my Canon MF 3010 still wasn't working. After installing these random packages, things work fine!
It's odd that Canon took the time to package their drivers as .deb packages but didn<t list these as dependencies.
Re: Canon MF4350d - Printer Scanner setup
I'm still running Kubuntu 12.04. I've been ready to upgrade for awhile now but just haven't taken the time. This printer thing is just one more thing that I'd rather not deal with. Now that 13.10 will be out soon, I might just wait and take the plunge on that. I'd be curious to know if after upgrading, your printer continues to work or if you have to mess around with the drivers again. That's for anyone who's replied to this thread or is new to this thread.
Thanks!
Re: Canon MF4350d - Printer Scanner setup
Nothing useful to add here except to say a sincere thank you to OP ridgeland.....
Haven't played with Linux based systems in years so finding out how to get a Canon imageclass mf4350d up and running on Ubuntu 12.04 in this thread was pretty awesome :P
