View Full Version : [ubuntu] Will Ubuntu work with Toshiba laptop hardware?

I am buying Toshiba L355D-S7825 in order to get a reasonable laptop on a tight budget. I plan to put Ubuntu on after kicking around various distros. There are 2 pieces of hardware that have me concerned based on other posts:

1. Atheros Wireless LAN (802.11b/g)
2. Graphics: ATI RADEON X1250 128-831MB dynamically allocated shared

Will Ubuntu work ok with this wireless card and this graphics chip set?

How about this laptop in general? Is there anything funny about Toshiba's that would make Ubuntu a poor choice?

There is a new Atheros driver in intrepid backports the should work with your wireless adapter.
