I know of a few people who use Linux a little but no one that actually uses it as the main OS, besides me.

I know since Wyoming has the fewest people of any state it is not likely to have a lot, but there should be at least some, tell me I am not alone. :(

One person I know/am related is a new professor here and up until now had to use windows for work, so he used it at home home for the convenience. Well now that he can make the rules he is using Linux (specifically Ubuntu) much more, though he is still has not crossed the line. Once I get more free time I am going to set up a LUG here and we(most likely I) will show the benefits of Linux. I am also looking of starting a Linux based computer business here selling Linux on PC's. I think it might catch on since this is a very poor area ($20000-$30000 a year average income).

Barely, though they are really pushing wind power, 5 out of 5 days a week has a pretty good wind speed. they even encourage people in the city to get small one's for their home.

well, according to Garfield (yes, I'm old...), Wyoming is a an Italian word meaning "No State Here".

so i would guess prolly not. :)

that said, you can prolly do the math. if Linux acceptance is at roughly 1.8% globally, just figure out what percentage of the global computing population exists in your non-state. if it's above .018(global computing population) then your prolly not alone.

all kidding aside, I have faith that there are more ubuntees in your area than you would ever guess. they just appear to go to bed early.

have fun,
franklin

I am already on there but I did update to my new location though. It seems there are 3 other registered.

Darren, Skia42, kye_

Of those only the first 2 are on this half of the state. And they are both in Laramie which is a good 2 hour drive.
