Hi
Hopefully someone can shed some light on this one.
I have had this issue with both 8.04 and 8.10. Currently running 8.04 desktop edition.
Hardware spec.
proc p4
1gb ram
The system runs fine until i run a second lot of updates. After the initial updates. After this i get the gui login screen. Type in username and password and then it justs sits there and does nothing. It's not an incorrect password. Anyone any ideas? Not sure how to login with just a shell and no x ......
