I know this has been done before but answers or suggestions are all over the board and maybe someone has new ideas or some good places to look.

One that would work well in version 8.10 in the USA.

I am looking for a simple GUI checking and check register program. One that could have more than one account and generate simple reports. Also a link on where to get them would be helpful.

Maybe even a simple book keeping application would work.

I look forward to your thoughts and suggestions. Bob.

And I like kmymoney2 better than gnucash, which I find very difficult to use in comparison. Have a look at both and see what you prefer. kmymoney2 is a kde application but it runs very well on gnome, it just looks typically kde, ie, a bit strange on a gnome desktop.

There are two others I know of, homebank and jgnash, both available from getdeb, if they are not in the repos.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

I was unable to find jgnash though.
