Patent wars like we now see in the US.

You would be able to patent such things as 'viewing information with a fixed part for navigation and a variable part for data' covering both browsing with frames and most GUI interfaces.

This would be hell for Free Software projects and for smaller software houses.

For non-Europeans, it is worth noting that Europe currently has no patent system for software inventions.

Software, like books, is covered by copyright only, which in the view of many people is sufficient protection.

Another reason why i feel the US is way too protective of greedy companies....



I'm as republican as Bush... but damn... i hate big companies.


Anyway... yeah... another way Microsoft rules the world....

YEA!!! No patents for european stuff....

Not saying that his views are wrong, but if you hate big companies- you are NOT as Republican as Bush. He loves um. They paid for his reelection.
