why cant medibuntu be added to synaptic the usual way through:

synaptic>settings>repositories>third party software>add

http://subz3ro.blogspot.com/2007/07/must-dos-aftr-installing-ubuntu-704.html

each of these gives a different set of commands to run to install it. which should I use (if I cant install it through synaptic)

after I install it will its packages be installable through synaptic or will I still have to use the terminal window?

is it worth the trouble of installing it? (for intrepid ibex)

1) Use the installation instructions in the link I highlighted.

2) Yes, the packages will then be in Synaptic.

3) Yes, in my opinion, it's definitely worth installing.

Just follow OrangeCrate's recommendations.
Multimedia, Entertainment & Distractions In Ubuntu is a repository of packages that cannot be included in Ubuntu due to legal reasons.
