I had a couple of questions about installing KDE. I am running Ubuntu 8.04 and was thinking about installing KDE in addition to GNOME. It's been while since I've run a linux distro, and kind of forgot the differences between the two environments.
My question is how is the best way to install KDE?
the Ubuntu wiki gives you three different choices: Kubuntu-desktop, kde, or kde-core.
I was just going to install kubuntu-desktop, but I'm not sure if I want to keep KDE once I've played around with it, and the wiki said that it's kind of hard to remove, so I think that if I had to choose one, it would be kde, and then I can just add the other packages that I want.
one other quick question, am I still going to be able to switch between KDE and GNOME if I want to? At a time I knew the answer to this, but it's been a while since I've worked with Linux.
Thanks for any help!
