when we use pidgin some of the messages are seen by others,can we encrypt messages we send,pls tell how to do it?

how many of u people will encrypt messages and send the data in pidgin,have u faced any problems because of not doing encryption............:)

Just about all my contacts use Jabber/Gajim and we all have GPG keys, so encryption is just natural for us. I rarely have problems with the encryption (fedex lost his key or something). Having your conversation unencrypted is a risk if you are on a hostile network, though.

there's a pidgin plugin called OTR (off the record) install that and you will be having encrypted conversations with another Pidgin user

there is a plugin for pidgin for that purpose.
