View Full Version : [ubuntu] Crashes after update

Hello,

Umm, i have ...had ubuntu 8.10 installed inside windows vista home premium and it work fine for a long time.

Then once i updated ubuntu. it updated properly then the next time i booted the machine it crased. Widows as well as ubuntu. i ried everything to fix the problem but in the end i had to format.

This happened thrice.

Can someone please help me. i dont wanna use windows for anything except for gaming.

you didn't need to reformat..

it could have been fixed quickly with a command or two....


what is the current problem since vista is now freshly installed ?

please explain how it crashes, be specific, also include how far you get when rebooting after the crash !

hey, thnx for the reply inobe. and im sorry i haven't replied sooner.
Vista gets to the boot splash screen then dumps the data on the ram to the hdd then restarts and does the same thing again!!!
Ubuntu just has scrolling white text on the screen!!!
Sorry, im not very good with linux.
