Ok for some nothing special but I'm really glad that I could help in making Ubuntu better and my patches got submitted.
It's not software patches, it's about ubuntu now detecting 2 more models of sony mp3 players out of the box.

What about you? Did you manage to get 1 patch that made his way in Ubuntu?

Share your experiences over here...

Well it was the Sony Walkman NWZ-135F (http://launchpad.net/bugs/289161) and Sony Walkman NWD-B105 (http://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hal-info/+bug/231470)

As the owner of a Sony Walkman, I'd like to thank you for making things easier for Walkman owners. Even though I just drag and drop music onto it anyway, which is the headline feature of the Walkmans :-)

You might want to check out my program Blacklight? (on Launchpad)

Wooo well done dude! What's next on your hit list?!

I've only packaged http://packages.ubuntu.com/gizmod, which is slightly broken now on 64bit (https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gizmod/+bug/293082) and we can't figure out how to fix it. :(

I don't know the next one. one of them if from my brother, the other one I asked a friend to give it to me for 1 day so that I could do the patch. I can't buy them just to make patches (even if I had time I could buy and return them back lol...)

P.S. the patches make the players available as music players and not only usb sticks so you can control them in rhythmbox for example.
