I have two system both with ubuntu8.10 desktop. I use very slow net. I have upgraded my on system taking 2 days. I need to upgrade another system but I don't want to download the same package.

How could i use the package i used to upgrade one system to another? I think i have the .deb package in cache but to install it I have to click it and it show dependencies and again i have to install dependencies first. This method is tiresome. And again some of the dependencies required are not found in cache.

How could I set up so that when i connect to the upgraded system, it will copy the package and install in another system? Is there some solution to this. Any help will be great.

Please give me a step procedure as I am new to ubuntu system. I did used Red Hat and Fedora before.

Thank you.

Edit : See Thread no 5 for the answer.

your best bet is to upgrade from a cd, have someone send you a cd' or simply request one to be mailed to you.

here is some information, should work, scroll down in the link.

inobe, I think you didn't read my post carefully. I already have 8.10 and upgrading from a CD is not an option as i mean is about updation that ubuntu keep release. and also other extra package i download.
