Hello all. I was wondering why it is recommended to have a dedicated partition for Ubuntu instead of having it installed within windows.

No benefit other than an increase in space honestly, no performance increase. I don't know why you would think so.

I believe during the install of Ubuntu within Windows there is a message saying that a dedicated partition is recommended. Although I might have seen it somewhere else.
