I've a perfect working cd-rom with the latest version of Ubuntu.
When I boot from it on my XPS computer I get the menu with "install" and so on.
Whatever I choose: Install/Try Ubuntu without making any changes, my computer can't detect any resolutions and my screen goes black. (only with the XPS)
I tried 17" and 24" screens. I guess the problem has something to do with the fact that my computer only has DVI-ports. So the blue VGA-screencable is connected to it with a white DVI adapter.
Can somebody help me out?
