I've been looking all through the menus and panel applications, but I can't seem to find this feature (http://library.gnome.org/misc/release-notes/2.24/#rnusers.hamster). It was included in the latest version of gnome, and I upgrade to 8.10 to get the latest version of gnome.

This should teach me to post without first spending at least a day. I found the Gnome time tracker in the Add applications. My Bad

What was it called? I'm not seeing it.

the new feature is detailed here: http://library.gnome.org/misc/release-notes/2.24/#rnusers.hamster . I found the gnotime tracking tool in the "add/remove programs" but it doesn't integrate into the panel and I found it somewhat confusing to use. This makes me mad because when I upgraded to 8.10 it had side effects like not being able to play certain flash applets

Thanks for the location for installing it, although since I moved to the GlobalMenu my top panel has lost space for things like this.

Any idea where the flash issue is caused? We definitely need a bug filed against it if it's causing issues in other apps like you describe.

ETA: The app is the GnoTime Tracking Tool, and once installed it's in Applications > Office. Once launched it sits in the Notification Tray. I'm not sure how they get the screenshot shown on the page Veggiet links to, unless it's showing the icon with an app running. When I clicked the tray icon (with no timers active) it just sat there like a bump on a log. I'll play with it more later.
