hi, i downloaded ubuntu-8.10-desktop-i386.iso, and i cant run it.
no matter wich option i chose, it freeze here:

Is it VMware or your whole computer freezing?

just installer.
i used 'safe graphic' and nosplash options, still doesnt work ;/

When setting up the VM what specs have you given it?
Your CD/ Iso might be corrupt or if your using you real CD drive something else might be interfering with the VM accessing it.

o use iso, not cd.
settings? what you are reffering to? all default.

okay... image was damaged.

Good to hear, for future reference I was refering to host os settings for instance (IIRC) Vmware comes up with a pop-up warning about the affects of Autorun on CD drives though it shouldn't be too problematic just initially annoying.
