For some reason on my laptop the Repeat Delay and Speed sliders seem to have zero affect on the delay or the speed of key repeat rate. This is running under Intrepid.
Its not a major hassle - I was actually investigating another annoyance which was actually caused by the "Vertical Scroll" being turned on on touchpad which sometimes meant that as you moved your mouse out of the application panel bar (where the minimized windows sit) that it would change between applications at random!
