Check out Full Circle Magazine (http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=270). It covers Ubuntu.

It's a bit broad to just say I want a good magazine for Linux. For example, some readers love magazines that get very technical and offer a lot of cmd line or scripting articles. Others like magazines that focus on software reviews and productivity. Some look for both or like magazines that include CDs regularly or share recent news in the Linux community. It's kinda up to your tastes. Having said all that...

For a print magazine, I would pay a visit to Barnes & Nobles or Borders Bookstore and have a look at the Linux magazines there. They typically have at least 4 different ones all the time. You can look at each and get a feel for the style of magazine it is and pick your favorite.

Many if not all of those print magazines have websites that you can visit too. Have a look at these.

Linux Format (http://www.linuxformat.co.uk/) is excellent, if a bit pricey. I'm a subscriber at the moment, and even though I'm not quite as technical as some more experienced Linux users, I find it a great read.

Full Circle is the best Ubuntu specific one. I read it all the time, and it has some great tutorials and reviews in it.

On a slightly different note, are there any good linux/hacker novels out there? I love reading books about the exploits of hackers. "The Art of Intrusion" by Kevin Mitnick, and William Simon is the best i've found so far.

Full Circle rocks! Online and free (as it should be) and you can subscribe RSS.

As I am a beginner, I am looking for something in simple to follow terms.

Linux Format has a great selections of articles, reviews, and howto's for both newbies and more advanced users. Pricey, but worthwhile. Highly recommended.

I had not heard of Full Circle before reading this thread. Thanks to those who mentioned it.
