[SOLVED] Removing unwanted icons after uninstall

I just un-installed a program using synaptic, it seems to have done the job but in the pull down list under applications, sound and video the unusable icon is still there, how can I remove this? Still new to this but loving it over windows.

Right click on the menu and select 'Edit Menus', locate the entry in question and delete it.
