Hi,

I have a bunch of legacy albums in wma lossless. Currently I am running Amarok 1.4.10 which plays them using XINE out of the box. All the other media players in Ubuntu 8.10 seem to use GStreamer. I have installed ubuntu-restricted and w32codex from Synaptec neither work. Could someone help meget this to work?

Have you tried playing them in rhythmbox? if so and the codec can't be found, it should prompt you to get the codecs you need. also try converting the audio, i recommend with pacpl.

Any of the gstreamer players will not play wma lossless, nothing to be done there except convert to a format they will play.
