Sony Vaio PCG-5312

This is about my fourth Intrepid install. I had this old Sony Vaio PCG-5312 down in the basement and came across it's power supply in my box of hunting stuff. The regular install CD didn't work but everything ran fine off the alternate CD.

After the reboot it just comes up to a blank screen. Any ideas?

I downloaded and installed Xubuntu.

What are the system specs?

I fixed this by installing Xubuntu. Am thinking about forking out the $35 bucks for another 128MB of RAM.
