View Full Version : [kubuntu] Mounting Windows Partition

November 25th, 2008, 06:50 AM
Hello All,
I recently upgraded to the newest version of Kubuntu, and I have run into a problem.

I often stored all of my data on my Windows partition, that way I could access it from both XP and Kubuntu, but after my upgrade I can no longer mount my windows partition.

I used to simply go to the advanced system settings->disks and file systems, then chose to mount the drive in question. That tab is no longer there, and I cannot figure out an easy way to mount the partition. I believe I can see it when I go to dolphin, as an NTFS volume, but it throws the error that only root can mount the drive. Any ideas?
