I have a linksys router that so far has not been able to connect with my laptop. I followed all of the help and trouble shooting steps but nothing seems to work. I know the router is fine because I can use Firefox on the Win. side, but when I switch over, Firefox says I'm not connected. I was wondering if anyone knew a way to view all available networks.

In System->Administration->Network, unlock, choose the wireless connection then 'Properties'.
Make sure 'Configuration' is set to 'Automatic Configuration (DHCP)',
'enable roaming' is off (for now),
you have the correct ESSID and security details,

Reboot and try again. You can check your details with the setup on your ******* install.

Make sure you have the right drivers and the right configuration in Ubuntu, mainly the ESSID. You can find this information in Win since you say it's working fine.
