so I decided to buy an Asus EEE pc computer and it came with the xandros linux OS

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9050206&type=product&id=1218012526050

and i read the reviewing saying Ubuntu is much better so I went for it.

and it did not go well for me. I download the iso file from here http://ubuntu-eee.com/ and extracted the files to an SD memory card. I then placed into the computer it detected it alright.

Everything looked fine and I got to the installation screen. I choose the guided -use entire disk with the hard drive on my computer. Next think you know, i get the " error 21: selected disk does not exist press any key to continue... "

I press some key and I get
a box with three things in it
-----------------
Ubuntu 8.04.1 kernel 2.6.24-21-eeepc
Ubuntu 8.04.1 kernel 2.6.24-21-eeepc (recovery mode)
Ubuntu 8.04.1 memtest86+
----------------

I formatted my SD to be fat32.
my 1st boot device is my HDD. and i have Hdd, the first one is the original one and the 2nd one is the SD memory card.

okay now if my 1st boot device is my SD.. it gives my a black screen with a blinking line... what's up with that/?!

--------

I can't even get the computer to boot from the sd card again so I cant seem to reinstall ubunut...

Wow I've been having so much trouble..

I hope you guys can help me. I'm new to the linux world...

Thank you so much for your replies and time. :KS
