how to install printer driver HP CP 1700 in hardy heron

hi all, first i would like to know how to install driver HP CP 1700 in ubuntu hardy, second is if the printer is shared from windows XP, how i want to connect it, i try so many time. Can u teach me step by step please :(:confused:

I have HP Printer working on hardy... and now on intrepid. I performed manual installation and followed all the steps given http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/manual/distros/ubuntu.html.. It would surely work for you
