How to upgrade to 8.10 from 8.04???

Normally the upgrade for me is avaible through update manager or command line interface but I can't get the new 8.10 without downloading it from the web. How do I resolve this issue

Go into your Update Manager and ensure that you have "normal releases" selected for upgrade notifications.

I'd encourage starting from fresh with Intrepid Ibex.


"Upgrading" can be convenient--but all manner of things can go wrong in the process--there are lots of threads on Ubuntuforums about "upgrade" that go wrong.....granted only those that have something go wrong during "upgrade" will post about it, but I'd still caution the OP.
