Can someone please tell ma a application that runs ALL the time?

I need it because I have a Mac theme and Avant Window Navagator.

what does a constantly running application, a mac theme and awn have in common?

I mean a application in linux that runs all the time.
My point is that finder in mac runs all the time.
I want to find a application like that in linux.

Do you mean you want an application that does what finder does? The equivalent in Ubuntu would probably be Nautilus.

Perhaps if you explained what "finder" does that you want to replicate in Ubuntu, it would help.

Do you know about Windows Explorer? It runs all the time for Windows.

That is my two definitons.

No, I don't. I haven't run a Microsoft OS since 1994.
