I just finished mixing my own version of What Child Is This? in Audacity under Ubuntu. I figured since it's getting close to that time of year, it wouldn't be out of place to share this small piece of my band with you guys.

There are two versions of the song... One is an "electronic" version, which will appear on a compilation disc next week or so, and the other is the "organic mix" version which is more traditional guitar+drums type.

Here ya go...

Electronic version:

Organic mix:

Wow..both versions are very acoustically entrancing. My tastes tend more toward the electronic version but both are superb, thanks for sharing. The vocals really draw you in as well, very nice.

Hey, thanks for your comments! The singer is my wife. She thinks she is a terrible singer, but I think she's great. She also sings in a song called Psalm 117, and a cover version of Born (by Over the Rhine). If you would like to hear those or any other songs we have done, there are MP3s and Oggs up on our main site (www.rivironline.com). I'll pass your comments on to her. :D
