My dvdrom drive no longer automounts for whatever reason. Is there a way to fix this?

in nautilus file browser go to Edit>prefs>media tab>check "browse media when inserted"

thanks. but that checkbox is already checked off...... any other suggestions

for whatever reason a simple reboot did the trick
