Help i cant install ubuntu eee

i have a eeepc 900
and i have used the unetbootin windows version

and i downloaded a fresh install of the ubuntu 8.04.1 and it was fine for any errors until i installed it when i get this message

Executing 'grub-install (hd0)' failed
this is a fatal error


what do i need to do to fix this problem
please help by giving the step by step guide to use the two 4 gb partitions and no swap file

like do i use ext3 or ext2 etc please help asap i need this up so i can use my pc for work toomorow

hi i fixed my problem with out any one helping lol

all i did was change the boot grub to sda partition not the sd0 it was set to default in the advanced install options

now it works fine so far need to fix issues with the usb stuff and battery etc
