dual booting won't shutdown

I have installed ubuntu 8.10 using wubi, but I can not shutdown my computer with ubuntu by shuting down ubuntu, I have another computer with ubuntu and vista dual booting, I can shutdown that computer by shuting down vista.
my shutdown always goes back to dual booting
