Ubunto to studio upgrade

Hello all,

Wanting to install ubuntu studio but having no dvd writer i've followed the advice in this previous thresd:

I installed ubuntu 8.10 (very easily). However on inputing command


sudo apt-get install ubuntustudio-desktop

i get message


E: Couldn't find package ubuntustudio-desktop

searched synaptic and couldn't find any mention of studio

is this a temporary problem or have i installed the wrong desktop to upgrade this way?


P.S. sorry if this isn't the right catagory

Search ubuntustudio as one word in synaptic. I recieved this advice in a post. I have not had a chance to try it. Hope it helps

Thanks, that is good advice. I found studio and the audio packages through browsing the metapackages on synaptic. long winded but i got there in the end.
