View Full Version : [ubuntu] login sounds too short.

Hi. I've used System/Administration/login Window to set up some sounds when logging in to Ubuntu.

They're *almost* working, but are too short - the ends are getting clipped off.

For example, instead of 'Welcome' when the login window appears, I'm getting 'Welco'

On logging on, instead of getting 'Accepted', it's 'Accep'

Once I've logged on and am actually in Gnome, all sounds thereafter are fine.

I'm guessing this can be fixed by changing a number in a config file somewhere, but I haven't a clue where to look. Any advice would be very welcome!!

Thank you so much for the helpful reply!

Seriously, though, if anybody could shed any light on how to solve this, I'd be very grateful! It's driving me nuts.
