Encrypting home

Hello,

I used to do cryptsetup to encrypt my home directory, I wrote how I did it on http://pupeno.com/blog/encrypted-home-in-ubuntu2

So far that worked very nicely, but after upgrading to Ubuntu 8.10, it started to have weird behavior, such as: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/300990

Is there another method for encrypting my home that is preferred today?
