No Widescreen Option

I just updated to 8.10 and Ubuntu thinks my screen is 3:4 when it is actually widescreen. I have Intel Integrated graphics. Right now I can use the computer just fine, except that everything is a bit stretched out horizontally. If you need me to show you the results of any diagnostic commands, let me know.

What video card in particular do you have?
Do you happen toknow if you need and extra driver, perhaps?
I have an NIVIDIA card on a Compaq F700 laptop, and I had the same proiblem until I have installed the drivers that Ubuntu has for NVIDIA.

I have Intel Integrated Graphics, its not a video card at all and it it doesn't need any drivers.

Make and Model number of the monitor or the laptop is very helpful in this case. :)
