Hi,
I've reformatted my computer with Sony's system recovery disks which unfortunately also removed Ubuntu. Lucky me, I backed up my data before it was gone forever. Now, I'm on the verge of partitioning and installing Ubuntu again. However, I heard about Wubi and I was wondering, what's the difference between Wubi and normal Ubuntu? Is the performance the same and will it work the same as it did with my "normal" Ubuntu installation?

Any help or comments would be appreciated. :)

wubi is not an operating system. it's software (think virtual machine) that allows you to install ubuntu in windows. if it were me, i'd stay with a "normal" dual boot setup.

Yup. Thanks for your answer, that's how I'm going to do it... The "normal" way. Do you have any idea on how to install Kubuntu 8.10 without a CD or Floppy, but by doing it over the internet? Thanks, again.
