Hi,
I have Windows & Hardy installed in a dual boot config with the Windows partition (100 GB) on hd0, and then the remainder of that drive (200+ GB) for Hardy.
All worked fine, but then I had to reinstall Windows when it crashed (guess I reached the MTBF again :).
Now, Windows, of course, over-wrote the MBR, and I wish to reinstall GRUB, without damaging my Ubuntu install.
I have the Hardy CD, and can boot into Ubuntu with it.
How do I reinstall Grub?
